Popular filmmaker Vishnu Varadhan had planned to premiere his forthcoming directorial 'Shershaah', which would have Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the major characters, via OTT giant 'Amazon Prime Video' on August 12, 2021. However, the plans were unsuccessful.

Due to piracy, the film is already available on select places online. Reports suggest pirate sites have posted 'Shershaah' full movie as a free download on their servers.
