Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has proven to be the year's biggest surprise. The action thriller has proven to be Marvel's biggest outing of 2021, in addition to introducing the public to Marvel's first Asian Superhero. While the film continues to do well at the box office,  stock pictures of main actor Simu Liu from earlier in his career have reappeared and gone viral on the internet.

The charming actor, who wowed audiences with his daring action feats and outstanding acting performance in the film, had previously posed for stock pictures before entering the Marvel universe. While fans are adoring Simu Liu's old photos, the 32-year-old actor turned to his social media account to reveal his favourite, while mocking his detractors. 'Me chuckling at the folks who believed we'd flop,' he captioned the tweet.

Simu Liu had opened up the stock pictures on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year and stated, "I'm actually seeing it show up all the time, especially now that people are recognising them and posting them online. I've travelled all around the world. I've travelled, appeared on storefronts, hung outside gyms, and appeared on the covers of textbooks."

The Simu Liu-led film, which came out a few months after Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow, garnered a great reception from the public. Over the long weekend, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hit the $90 million mark at the box office, breaking the all-time Labor Day BO record in the United States.

Meanwhile, Marvel's Phase 4 appears to be intensifying, improving, and expanding with each new release.
